The Devil in High Def is a hard rock band from Washington State exploring the collision of identity, technology, and modern culture.
The band’s name is not a reference to devil worship or shock value. It is a metaphor for the darker aspects of human nature amplified by the modern world. In an age of social media, constant connectivity, and carefully curated digital identities, our flaws, fears, addictions, insecurities, and ambitions are displayed in high definition for everyone to see.
Through powerful riffs, driving rhythms, and emotionally charged lyrics, The Devil in High Def examines the tension between who we are, who we pretend to be, and who we become when the spotlight never turns off.
Formed in 2023, The Devil in High Def features Stephen Burris on percussion, Darren Jones on guitar and back up vocals, Matt Eisenhower on bass guitar and Ash Black on lead vocals.
